A daruma is typically a round, hollowed "wishing" doll. Using black ink, you fill/draw in one eye (traditionally the right) while thinking of a wish. The second eye is filled/drawn in after that wish comes true! FUN FACT: It is meant to motivate and remind you to pursue your wishes and dreams! So place it somewhere you can easily see! I personally like to leave it on my notebooks and calendar!
